I have exciting news to share: I’m creating a new series for the summer, and it starts this week!
The series is called “Renew.” It’s a weekly guide that you can use individually or in a small group. The guide engages one of the Sunday lectionary readings each week, and it provides questions for journaling or dialogue, a short reflection, and activities to do during your week.
“Renew” is about reconnecting with faith during the relaxed, ordinary time of summer. It makes space for quiet calm as well as energizing conversation and movement. It offers an opportunity to reflect on what matters to you in your life of faith at this social, political, and ecological juncture. And it includes spiritual practices for people who want ways of encountering God that are unconventional, creative, active, or simple.
You might find “Renew” helpful if . . .
- You are interested in a faith formation resource that you can use once a week at home or wherever you go throughout the summer
- You lead a small group and are looking for a ready-to-use resource to structure your summer group gatherings
- You want a lectionary-based resource for yourself or your community
This series is free and available on this site from this week until the end of August. I will be posting a new guide every week on the blog, which you can access from the home page or on the Renew page. You can also receive a downloadable, printable PDF version of the guide by visiting the Renew page.
I invite you to check out “Renew” and let me know what you think. I’d love to hear about your experience with the resource this summer!
Most of all, I hope you have a summer that is life-giving for you, your loved ones, and your community. Much peace to you!
